Chapter 3

Lake was riding the waves of ecstasy, each one of Chris' thrusts sent her closer and closer to the nirvana she so desperately craved.

"Uh! Whose pussy is this?" He demanded and pushed himself deep inside her.

Lake squirmed and dug her nails into the his shoulders and neck, "Yours!"

"Whose?" Thrust.

"Yours baby!"

He grunted, nearly at his climax. "Say my name." He murmured and nibbled at her neck.  She wanted to answer him, to call the name of the man who was her pleasure and pain, of the only man she had ever loved, her best friend, her greatest lover.

"Chris!" She spat as her back arched, she felt him grow inside her, she felt his release. She wasn't there yet, why was he doing this? She was so damn close! It wasn't fair, he was punishing her, bringing her to the brink and leaving her, dangling the ultimate release right in front of her face and taking it away. Showing her what she could have just as long as she doesn't fuck up.

He collapsed on top of her, two hundred and fifty pounds of muscle rested on top of her. She loved everything about him, his smell, his touch, his voice, everything, but he didn't seem to understand that, he was so insecure. She had gone on two dates with Gregory, her target and she told him every detail but Chris still thought that Lake was leaving out something, eliminating the sex.

He rolled off her and onto his back, eyes closed, snoring gently, Lake traced his sweet lips with her fingers. Money. Money was always the problem with Chris, he could never get enough of it, always wanted more. They came from similar backgrounds, grew up in the projects, surviving off food stamps. Lake knew all about wearing the same shirt for a week and having to melt the rubber on her sandals in order to mend it. How many times did she tell Chris that he didn't have to buy her, that she loved him unconditionally. He didn't think so, what was it with men and wealth?

Lake rolled off the bed and went into the bathroom, she stood under the warm stream, today wasn't the kind of day where a shower would wash her troubles away. She tilted her head back, the water caressed her face like a lover.
Gregory. He was so different, there was no pressure when she was with him, he had already self actualized, already become the man he wanted to be. He had the nice suits, the mansion and the fancy cars. He could buy her everything she wanted, he had a gift for her after every date, the first time he had given her a pair of diamond earrings, after the second date she received a bracelet, she had another date with Gregory tonight, the third date, she knew the necklace was coming but then what. For an old guy Gregory was as spirited as a teenager and she already knew he could get his dick up, how many times had it poked at her when she kissed him? The main question was how long could he keep it up?

Lake stepped out of the shower and toweled herself dry, she rubbed on some of her favorite lotion and dabbed some Chanel No. 5 behind her ears and at her pulse points. Chris came into the bathroom with everything swinging, he planted a kiss on her forehead and stepped into the shower, closing the curtain to hide himself from her. Suddenly Lake was angry, she was angry at his bipolar attitude, the only reason she was seeing Gregory anyway was because of his dumbass plan!

She left the bathroom slamming the door behind her, she pulled on the dress that Gregory had bought her, it hugged her curves and accentuated her hips, showed off her cleavage that he loved so much. She did her hair up in a ponytail like he'd asked and stepped into a pair of stilettos. Lake had done the escort thing, dating Gregory was similar.

As she left the house she thought about an alternative, she was sure that if she wanted she could have the cocky elder wrapped around her little finger, she could convince him to give her a couple million dollars and then she could disappear, Chris would finally have his money and they could live happily ever after.
Yeah right! Once Chris had his mind made up there was nothing anybody could do to change it. She was about to head down the street when a stretch limo pulled up beside her, the back doors opened and there was Gregory Del Santi.

Chapter 2

All little girls dream about their wedding day, the fancy dress, the pretty jewels and of course her soul mate waiting for her at the end of aisle. Lake was no different, Chris was her dream come true, her savior, but lately she was questioning if he was the one. What he had asked her to do was absurd, and of course he was the only thing that stood between her and a small prison cell.

She sighed and got out of bed, waking up the last couple of weeks had been hard but this day it seemed impossible. Her feet found the cold tiles in her bedroom and she managed to drag her tired body off the bed and to the bathroom. Lake stood under the warm spray of the shower breathing in the steam to clear her sinuses.

Chris had told her to look sexy, so that is what she would do. She mechanically stepped into a Dior dress and buckled the brand new stilettos, then she pulled her hair into a ponytail and dabbed on light makeup.

The plan was for her to go down to the man’s favorite café and ‘bump into him’. When Lake stepped outside she looked up at the sky and frowned, the bright golden sunshine, vivid green surroundings and birds chirping in the trees did not match her mood. “Son of a bitch.” She grumbled. Everything in her being screamed that what she was about to do was wrong.

Sun  Café is a cute little place on the corner and for some reason that made Lake feel even worst. She entered the café and took a seat right at the door and pulled the cell phone from her bra.

Chris had sent her pictures of her target and more than enough information for her to know the best way to get his attention. She looked at the café’s patrons, her mark hadn’t entered the building yet, but she had time.

People always pitied the victim’s family, but nobody considered what happened to the murderer psychologically. When she killed that guy she had two options, kill or be raped. Even now there were nights she couldn’t sleep, nights when she could feel his hands over her, when she relived plunging the knife into him, hearing him scream and seeing his lifeless body on the tile floors and knowing ‘I did that, I killed that man’.

Lake rubbed her throbbing temples and looked up when someone slid into the seat in front of her. The dark skinned young man with the striking blue eyes that didn't seem like they belonged to him. “Hi.” He greeted her.

“Hey.” She replied willing him to go away. His dazzling smile was distracting her, go away, go away. As if the cashier could read her mind she called out,  “A. Riley.”

Lake’s uninvited guest frowned, apparently he was not ready to leave. “That’s me.” He left a card on the table, she picked it up, Amir Riley, nothing else. She twisted in her seat so she could watch him leave. Just as he disappeared her target strolled in. It was time to go to work.

Lake's eyes zeroed in on her target, although he was across the room she could smell him, his fragrance was that of old money. The silver haired gentleman was dressed in a wrinkle-free Armani suit, his dress shoes sparkled in the sparse light. Lake couldn't help but wonder what he was doing inside a diner on this side of town.

A waitress approached him with a menu, as soon as she turned to lead him to his table, his gray eyes locked on her round ass. Lake smirked, this was going to be easier than she thought, the geezer is a pervert!

Once the man was seated, Lake stood and headed to the restroom, as she passed his table she put an extra bounce in her steps to make all of her lady bits jiggle just for him. A quick look over her shoulder proved her earlier thought right, her future hubby was a perv.

In the restroom, the girl prepared herself for what she was about to do, she checked her hair and makeup, took a couple deep breaths, "Whoo sahhh!" She breathed and left the restroom, the old man's eyes found her breasts as soon as she exited the rest room. "Here goes." She thought, tripped over her shoes and landed in his lap.

"Oh my gosh!" She lowered her lids seductively, dropping her voice an octave. "I'm so sorry." She shuddered when his too soft hands grabbed onto her behind.

"It's no problem at all darling."

She stood, adjusted her clothes and turned to leave, her target's fingers closed around her wrist. "What's the rush, you wrinkled my pants the least you can do is have breakfast with me."
Check and mate!

Lake slid into the seat facing Mr. Gregory Del Santai and prepared herself for a long boring conversation.

Chapter 1

Lake stared at the body lying on the floor then she saw a knife in her hand with blood dripping from it and then it dawned on her what she had done. She released her grip and she heard a faint sound as the knife hit the floor.

Lake washed her hands of the blood then walked outside for fresh air; she stared absently at the sunlight glittering on the glass-like surface of the pool. Spring was only a few days away and usually Lake loved the spring but now she was all nerves.

She suddenly found that she was talking to herself, "Shit, shit...No it was in self defense, right? After all, the guy was trying to force himself on me. How stupid was I to think just because I have a boyfriend that this wouldn’t happen to me."

The phone rang and when she saw the ID it showed Chris. Should she answer the phone and tell her boyfriend everything or keep quiet? She declined to answer and put the phone back in her pocket.
Suddenly there was a knock at the door and she jumped. She glanced at the body and then back at the door. How did anyone know she was here? Her thoughts were like her voice when she again looked at him lying there, ‘This guy told everyone where we were going to meet. I wish he was alive now so I could kill the bastard again.’ Lake then kicked the body and as calmly as she could asked, “Who is it?” getting closer to the door.

“Babes, it’s me. I know you’re with that guy.” Lake paused for a moment. “Chris, I got rid of him so I’ll be home soon.” Lake said through the door.

Chris now yelled through the door, “I don’t believe you; I want to tear him limb from limb. Now open the fucking door! Or do I bash it in?”

Lake reluctantly opened the door as she felt she had no choice and stepped back waiting for his reaction.
He saw the body lying in a pool of blood, the knife right beside it. He looked at the body for what seemed to be ages then turned his attention back to Lake. “Did you do this?”

Lake looked at Chris then replied in a scared tone, “Yes but he tried...” Chris wouldn’t let her finish, he grabbed her forcing her into the wall kissing her with passion like never before and then calmly voiced, “I’m so turned on by you right now. Let’s make love.” He tore the bloody covered clothes off from her body.

One year later

She listened to the raspy voice on the phone and couldn’t help but to gnaw her nail down to nothing while the guy tried to calm her down. “No Chris, this is wrong.” She argued in a harsh whisper, her eyes darting around the sparsely furnished room.

“Baby, tell me how this is wrong? The old man is a crook; we’ll be doing people favours. Listen, don’t you think it’s our turn to live on Easy Street?”

“Yes but…”

“But what Lake? You say you love me, so do me this one little favour. You’ll be coming out of this with your hands clean, all I’m asking is that you marry the geezer. So far things have been going fine. Besides remember last year when I helped you clean up your mess? ”

“Chris, if he’s alive today and dead tomorrow, the first person the police will arrest is his wife.”

“Sweetheart, don’t you trust me?” Chris cooed on the phone, “Come on, tell me you love me.”

Lake sighed; she was such a sucker for a few sweet words. “I love you Chris, and I trust you,” But she wasn’t stupid, “If anything goes wrong, you’ll be as dead as a doornail and you know I can have that done from behind bars.”

Chris laughed, the reason he loved Lake is because of her feistiness, she kept him grounded. “I know you will. Look baby, I won’t contact you again until this is done. I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll miss you too.” Chris disconnected, Lake stared at the phone in her hand, what was she doing? When
Chris first told her his plan she laughed and told him he was crazy, but he had managed to convince her that nothing would go wrong, and that they deserved have an easier life, now she was in way to deep, she talked a big talk but the truth of the matter was she wished she wouldn't have to follow through.

A big thanks to Aussie Karima for helping put the blood on Lake’s clothes. You rock!
